RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED IN JOHANNESBURG

JOHANNESBURG – According to SA Weather Service, more thunderstorms are expected in Gauteng on Wednesday afternoon.

The Weather Service also predicts that the rain will continue right through the weekend.

Forecaster Victoria Nurse says: “The showery conditions are expected to clear around mid-morning on Wednesday. We expect more thunderstorm coming in from late afternoon into the early hours of Thursday.”

“We are expecting showers [on Wednesday] until 10 am and again thunder showers in the afternoon and overnight.”

Nurse said that isolated and scattered showers can be expected for the next seven days in the evenings into mornings.

“Temperatures will remain mostly warm. We are not expecting a heat wave in the next week‚” said Nurse.

The SA Weather Service has also predicted rain for Cape Town expected towards the end of this week. It is well documented that the City of Cape Town is currently experiencing its worst drought in over 100 years.
