Johannesburg – AfriForum is heading to the Supreme Court of Appeals to overturn the 2019 ruling banning the display of the old South African flag.
In 2019, the South Gauteng High Court ruled that the display of the 1928 flag amounts to hate speech.
The Nelson Mandela Foundation made an application to the court against the display of the old flag.
It said the display constitutes hate speech, unfair discrimination and harassment based on race.
