Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s wife has lashed out in frustration at the aint-graft agency boss Ibrahim Mogu for conducting an ‘unjustified witch-hunt’ against her.
The ex-first lady Patience Jonathan claims the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is basing the unjustified witch hunt on sinister scripts just purely to embarrass and browbeat the former first family.
She also felt that her family and their charity projects were being subjected to microscopic scrutiny by the current President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
The former First Lady feels the intentions behind this entire dilemma are purely to disgrace, intimidate and ridicule her and her family. She also expressed her frustration about the propaganda, sensational investigations and media trial that have been going on for too long.
Mrs. Jonathan has called on the current president to put an end to all of these allegations and let her family and herself continue with their lives in peace.
The Jonathan family is further frustrated due to several bank accounts being frozen as part of an inquiry into her by the anti-graft agency.
She has been accused of not being the rightful owner of $15.6m that is held in her account. She has had to file a complaint against the EFCC in September as she felt this was the last stretch.
