CAPE TOWN – Randy Tango, who pleaded guilty to sexual assaulting and murdering a 11-year-old Stacha Arendse, has been handed 3 life sentences at the Western Cape High Court on Monday.

Tango (32) admitted to raping Arendse twice in his home before he murdered her in cold blood fearing that she will report the incident to her mother.

It is reported that he strangled the little girl and covered her body in a sheet before placing it in a rubbish bin which he wheeled to a soccer field in Tafelsig.

Tango lived in the same neighbourhood with the deceased and her family, leaving neighbours in great shock of his devilish actions.

The inconsolable mother, Sandy Markgraaf, said as much as she is pleased with the sentencing, she will never see her beloved daughter again.

“It’s been veey stressful. We won’t be able to get Stacha back, but I just wanted him to pay. He mustn’t come out and live his life outside. He won’t be able to hurt another little girl. I am grateful for all the support from everybody.”

Although Tango was spared of four counts of rape involving two women between 2010 and 2011 due to a lack of strong evidence, he is guaranteed to spend the rest of his life in prison.
