Johannesburg – The beer industry is hoping for good news from Wednesday’s budget speech.
The industry has been one of the hardest hit by Covid-19 lockdown alcohol restrictions.
“We really are being hopeful, it’s important that our voice be heard at this crucial time. We are confident that the minister will consider us as an industry,” said the Beer Association of South Africa’s Patricia Pillay.
“I think that everyone understands the 361 days have had on our industry and fact is that we do need to recover and we are hoping for a concession.”
