NEW YORK – Bill Cosby returned to court to again face charges of aggravated indecent assaults after a retrial was called by the court in the last trial.

A mistrial was declared last year when jurors could not come to a unanimous verdict on the charges against the 80-year-old comedian brought about by a his former employee Andrea Constand, who claims she was drugged by Cosby and he assaulted her in 2004.

The new trial takes place with a different social climate after the movement “Me Too” which started in October last year and has since exposed prominent men leading to their downfall for sexual harassment.

Cosby is the only celebrity right now facing criminal charges from approximately 60 women that have publicly accused him of sexual assault, but the statute of limitations means only one charge has been brought to trial.

This retrial will have the same judge and district attorney, five other accusers will give evidence too.

Cosby could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
