FLORIDA- Florida State Rep. Kimberly Daniels also a preacher thanks God for slavery, claiming “if it wasn’t for slavery, I might be somewhere in Africa worshiping a tree.”
Rep. Daniels, a representative that recently supported a bill passed by the Florida House that would force every public school to post “In God We Trust” signs, a development that has been deemed a dangerous religious extremist, a Christian theocracy.
Daniels speaking of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida shooting, in her closing speech on the “In God We Trust” bill, she said that God is the “light” and “our schools need light in them like never before.”
Adding that gun issues need to be addressed, but the “real thing that needs to be addressed are issues of the heart.”
The Parkland shooting left seventeen people dead, any sign invoking the imaginary of God would be misplaced.
The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) reacting to Daniels comments, they said in a Facebook post,
“Florida State Representative Kimberly Daniels is on a religious mission, a mission to force her god on other people’s children. She’s been completely open about this theocratic goal as she preaches, “exorcises demons,” and “speaks in tongues.”
Daniels has been interpreted as a Christian extremist, as she went further to thank God for slavery.
In another clip by FFRF, Daniels says is seen proudly promoting anti-Semitic slurs, including minimizing the Holocaust, saying, “You can talk about the Holocaust, but the Jews own everything!”
