WASHINGTON- President Donald Trump will welcome the leader of Nigeria to the White House later this month.
The planned meeting will take place on April 30 said, the White House Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement.
Sanders says the two counterparts will discuss economic reforms, fighting terrorism and ways to grow Nigeria’s, she added, “role as a democratic leader in the region.”
The United States says it has a “deep and strong” relationship with Nigeria.
The Nigerian President has recently announced he will be running for second term election in 2019, even though his defectors have called for him not too.
Nigeria biggest challenges are the ongoing fight against terror group Boko Haram and a weakened economy.
