Cannibal found eating a woman in Eastern Cape

A 23 year old young man was shot dead by police after he was found eating a woman’s raw flesh, in Eastern Cape.

Aphiwe Mapekula was shot dead by police after police tried to arrest him at his home in Mount Frere, Eastern Cape. After ignoring the police warning shots and police urging him to stop eating raw flesh of a woman, Thembisa Masumpa, Mapekula was shot several times with injuries on his arms, legs and stomach.

Mapekula is said to have attacked the 35 year old, Thembisa Masumpa, slit her throat and cut her head off completely and began eating her raw flesh from his home. After witnessing the incident, Mapekula’s mother called the police. The police warned him a several times before using lethal force. His devastated mother said “ I never raised a son like this one, I never imagined this. Mayor Bulelwa Mabengu suspected that the suspect might have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

This is the second reported cannibal horror case in South Africa in the last three weeks. Six men have been arrested after raping, killing and eating a woman in Estcourt. Police have investigated and found a tribe of cannibal witch-doctors as well as over 300 community residents admitted to eating humans and digging graves in KwaZulu Natal.
