Johannesburg – Capitec says it’s actively encouraging its 13,500 strong workforce to get vaccinated.
The bank is the country’s biggest by customer numbers and more people became clients in the six months to August.
Its clients base rose 15%.
Profits were up more than 500%, gains similar to other banks.
Capitec said almost nine million of its 16-million retail clients used digital channels during eh review period.
The bank said South Africa’s digital economy has grown as clients also adopt contactless card payments and online shopping.
