Cassper Nyovest Makes History

JOHANNESBURG – Cassper Nyovest proves once again that South African artists have just as much pull as their famous international counterpart by filling up FNB stadium on Saturday night.

The South African hip hop star made history by filling up FNB stadium with an estimate of R60 000 tickets sold, according to his management.

With this he broke his record of selling out 20 000 TicketPro Dome and selling out 40 000 tickets last year’s #FillUpOrlandoStadium. Cassper managed to fill up these stadium without any help from international acts.

Even though his initial goal of selling 75 000 tickets was not met, he still managed to sell more tickets at the venue than global superstars have.

With his estimated 68 000 tickets sold, including ones sold at the gates at the venue, Nyovest would have sold more tickets for a musical concert at the national stadium nearly every international artist to host a concert there.

According to stats, with this concert, he has out sold big international artists such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Metallica and Bruce Springsteen.
By 9pm the stadium was lit up with camera flashes and filled with fans of the rapper, capturing his performances of his recent album Thuto and Tsholofelo and Refiloe.

We hope to hear from him soon, with more albums and much much more tickets sold.
