CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WRAP UP

CAPE TOWN- The Champions league returned this week on 13 of February of and matches on Wednesday the 14th.

Here is a wrap up of the games that took place:

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 13

Basel 0-4 Manchester City

Gundogan shined for Manchester City, with two goals on the night, the third goal com from a Bernardo Silva volley and the forth long-range Sergio Aguero strike. As Pep team takes a commanding lead into their second leg round of 16 match in Manchester.

Juventus 2-2 Tottenham Spurs

Strikes from Harry Kane and Christain Eriksen give Spurs a deserved comeback after going down 2-0 within the first ten minutes of the match. The Londoners now have a away goal advantage heading into the second leg at Wembley Stadium.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 14

Real Madrid 3-1 Paris Saint German (PSG)

The Champions League defending Champions  Real Madrid come back from a goal down, to win it 3-1. An early strike from Adrien Rabiot’s opener for the French side was cancelled out by two strikes by Ronaldo, one was from the penalty spot, both teams still have a lot to play for though, as PSG has a crucial away goal as the teams meet again in the second leg in Paris in two weeks.

Porto 0-5 Liverpool

Liverpool striker Sadio Mane scored a hat trick as Liverpool have all but wrapped up this game, they have one foot in the door into the quarter finals. The visitors thrashed Porto 5-0 at Estadio do Dragao in Portugal. Salah and Firmino added their names to the score-sheet completing a well deserved win.
