
CNN newsman Chris Cuomo reached out to his friend and colleague Dr. Sanjay Gupta on Tuesday’s Cuomo Prime Time to voice out his experience with the world pandemic COVID-19 and how it is not to be taken lightly.
According to CDC guidelines, it’s suggested that someone who has been diagnosed with the disease or suspects that they have contracted it should only come out of self- quarantine after being cleared of any fever symptoms for 72 hours or more without the use of fever-reducing medication.
The newsman expresses how when he reached 60 hours showing no symptoms, he became quite optimistic and soon become disappointed once the symptoms returned. He conveyed how he was excited to be retested and cleared of the disease when he inadvertently learned from clinicians treating the disease that the symptoms come in waves.
The journalist was diagnosed just over 2 weeks ago and has been bravely battling this disease isolated in his basement nonetheless hosting his nightly CNN news talk show sharing with his viewers of how he is starting to feel better.
Cuomo considers himself to be blessed as not many infected by the disease are experiencing it the same way he is. He said shows he is optimistic about his recovery and is grateful that his health is improving.
