
Johannesburg – Mark Boucher has welcomed his mid-May disciplinary hearing, saying it gives him ample time to prepare his case.
The hearing date has been set from 16 to 20 May.
The allegations against the national team coach include misconduct charges. These relate to the alleged use of vulgar word against former teammate Paul Adams.
Also, Boucher’s relationship with Enoch Nkwe and the handling of the Black Lives Matter issue when it came to players of colour.
The final verdict on the 45-year-old’s future as Proteas coach will be decided as his contract expires at the end of the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
Boucher will travel with the team to New Zealand on Thursday.
He will also be there for the ODI from the middle of March to the end of April.
