Defence in Senzo Meyiwa murder trial claims intimidation

Johannesburg – The defence in the murder trial of Senzo Meyiwa says their lives are at risk.

Defence advocate, Malesela Teffo was arrested in court but it’s clear what charges he faces.

This happened just after the case was adjourned for the day.

Police came into the court and handcuffed Teffo before leading him away.

When questioned about why he was being arrested, Teffo said Police Minister Bheki Cele wanted him off the case.

Tshepo Thobane, Teffo’s lawyer, says the arrest is nothing more than intimidation tactics by the police.
