Durban closes its beaches again

Durban – Beaches in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal have been temporarily closed again.

That’s because the KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board’s has removed all shark safety gear along the coast ahead of tropical cyclone Batsirai.

It is expected to make landfall in southern Mozambique early next week.

A few people have been spotted on the North and South beaches in Durban despite the notice of the beach closures issued by the eThekwini Municipality.

The municipality promised to act should people continue to ignore the notice.
