Durban woman appears in court for killing 2 boys

Durban – The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Kwa-Zulu Natal, has confirmed that the woman who is accused of killing 2 10 year old boys has appeared in the Durban Magistrate Court.

The boy’s bodies were found a few days back after they have been missing from last week Tuesday.

The KZN Provincial NPA spokesperson Natasha Kara told news24 that Amahle Maliwa is facing to charges of murder, two charges of kidnapping and two charges of assault with grievous body harm.

Kara also went on to say that this case was remanded to the 20th of November due to the fact that Maliwa doesn’t have a lawyer.

“The matter is still under investigation,” said Kara.

One of the boys, Njabulo Mankayi’s body was found in the south of Durban on Monday at 10 in the morning by a Transnet pollution officer.

Mankayi has no visible injuries but a post-motem will be performed to determine his death.

Colonel Mbhele also confirmed that the family was called into the scene and they identify the body as Njabulo Mankayi.

Mankayi’s friend, Luyanda Msomi was found on Saturday in a bush in Montclair, Durban.

Two women were arrested in connection with this case. They are charged with kidnapping and murder.
