Easter road deaths increased by 14% compared to last year-Watch

Johannesburg- Transport Minister Blade Nzimande said the easter road deaths increased by 14% in 2018 compared to last year.

Nzimande delivered this information at Parliament preliminary report on the Easter road campaigns.

Nzimande said the numbers were calculated over a 12-day period from March 29 to April 9.

From the preliminary report the main contributing factor for crashes was human behaviour.
