Eskom urges consumers to reduce electricity usage

Johannesburg – Eskom is urging consumers to lower electricity usage immediately.

The embattled power utility said it is under severe pressure and this could trigger rolling blackouts if consumption is not drastically reduced.

It is asking consumers to switch off unnecessary lights, geysers, pool pumps and non-essential appliances.
