
CAPE TOWN – English club Worcester Warriors have announced that centre Wynand Olivier has signed a one year contract extension.
Olivier, 34, who played 38 tests for the Springboks, left the Bulls in 2013 to play for French side Montpellier. He later joined the Warriors in 2015 and has since become a stalwart for the English club.
“Worcester has become a home for me over the past three years and I’m really pleased to be staying,” said Olivier on the Worcester official website.
“I’ve made some good friends at the club, there’s a really good vibe about the place right now and I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Warriors.”
Director of rugby at Warriors Alan Solomons added: “Wynand is a consummate professional and having someone of is experience in the squad is vital.
“He has done a tremendous job in his three seasons at Sixways so far is a fantastic role model for some of our upcoming youngsters.”
