Johannesburg – The father of five boys, three of whom have died from alleged poisoning, has been charged with three counts of murder and one attempted murder.
The dead boys aged six, 13 and 16 were from Ratanda in Gauteng.
The father is under police guard in hospital after allegedly trying to poison himself.
Reports suggest that he laced an energy drink with poison before giving it to his children but police are still investigating this.
A fourth boy is in a critical condition in hospital while a fifth didn’t consume the drink.
