FNB Launches Two Smartphones

The First National Bank (FNB) is said to launch 2 new smartphones next week Wednesday. These two new smartphones the bank will offer consumers are called the ConeXis X2 and A2.

These t devices will be added to the banks’ already existing smart devices the bank offers. FNB offers consumers smartphones, tablets and TV’s which are popularly known as FNB Connect. These smartphones are made by one of the Chinese Telecommunication companies ZTE. This Chinese telecommunication company is also behind the first two FNB devices ConeXis A1 and X1. According to the CEO of the FNB consumer segment, Christoph Nieuwoudth it has been a year since FNB became the first bank in Africa as a whole that has launched its own branded smartphones. There won’t be any credit background check for people who wish to buy this device. It is also available for an affordable price per month. The A2 device has a 4.5 inch display with 5 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel selfie camera.

FNB released a statement saying that the bank has sold 487 000 smart devices through their FNB Connect. 75 000 of those devices are ConeXis Z1 and X1 smartphones. This bank through their FNB Connect have currently 520 000 subscribers.
