
CAPE TOWN- The Eskom inquiry will resume on Tuesday, with the expected testimony of forensic firm that investigated allegation of irregular payments made to Gupta linked company Trillian Capital Partners will present their present.
G9 Consulting Services will present their evidence to the portfolio committee on public enterprises.
The committee was commissioned by Eskom to look into their contracts with consultancy firms McKinsey and its partner in the contract Trillian.
The NPA had found the contract was invalid and the payments done between both parties was unlawful.
The amaBhungane reported that G9 Consulting services released a separate interim report which found that Eskom own legal advisors told them the contact maybe illegal and a agreement with Mckinsey should not be reached, as the revenue model proposed was flawed.
amaBhungane further reported that G9 went as far as to recommend a criminal investigation should be launched, particularly Eskom relationship with Trillian.
Former CFO Anoj Singh and his senior management team including Edwin Mabelane, Prish Govender and Charles Kalim have been implicated in the G9 report.
Singh testified in the Eskom inquiry in parliament and his testimony was filled with “I dont knows”. He added that the Mckinsey- Trillian contract is not his doing, as the contract was already finalized once he was appointed.
