Gupta-owned mine CEO killed in alleged hit

JOHANNESBURG- Police are still searching for the suspects involved in the killing of Jagannath Arora on Saturday night.

CEO of Gupta-owned company, JIC Mining Services, Arora was ambushed by gunmen when he was driving to Midrand.

He was shot, he tried to drive himself to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries on his way.

Gauteng police spokesperson, Kay Makhubele detailed that Arora’s car was sprayed with bullets.

JIC, a contractor at Optimum Coal, is currently in the process of liquidation.

Just last week, its workers went on strike, they have not been paid their salaries for a few months.
