HARARE – Social media buzzed on Tuesday night with videos of famous Zimbabwean crossover musician – Jah Prayzah being attacked at a funeral. Zimbabwean musician, Jah Prayzah, allegedly ran out of the funeral after mourners charged at him during Chrispen Nyemba’s funeral yesterday.
Chris Nyemba was the former head security for Jah Prayzah and tragically died early on Saturday morning after he was involved in a car accident on his way home from Jamacian Tarrus Riley’s show in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Prayzah had a performance at the Harare International Conference Centre and his head of security, Chris, had provided him with enough security for the concert. After ensuring that Prayzah was safe, he then drove home.
Reports suggest that Chris was involved in a head-on collision with another car at Eastlea VID in Harare at around 4am. It was not clear who he was travelling with in his car.
Mourners at the funeral gave Jah a hard time, after speculations and allegations that he was involved in his cause of Chris’ death. When Jah Prayzah escaped the place, a lot of people managed to take snaps and videos with their mobile phones.
Nyemba died at the age of 42, leaving behind his pregnant wife and three children. More news will be reported on the details of the other driver, or whether it was indeed an accident or murder.
