Durban – The eThekwini Municipality is urging residents to adhere to Covid-19 regulations.
Holiday makers are flocking to the beach this festive season.
With the country going through a fourth wave, there has been concerns overcrowding could hamper the fight against coronavirus.
“We have to mitigate against the spread and eThekwini becoming a super spreader,” said eThekwini Municipality’s Malcolm Canham.
“We’re encouraging everyone to obey the COVID-19 protocols. Regulations are clear, mask wearing is important.
“Social distancing at the beach….we appeal for sensibility. If we determine that beaches are over-crowded, there’s going to be a problem. We have a plan in place.”
