Chapman said she fled New York, to Los Angeles and then London and unable to leave her house.

“I was so humiliated and so broken,” she said. “I thought, ‘Who am I to be parading around with all of this going on?’ It’s still so very, very raw.”

The designer has thanked their loyal fans, the clothing brand Marchesa had cancelled their runaway show in February at New York fashion week but high- profile celebrities have decided to stick with Chapman’s brand.

She said, “A lot of people reached out and said, ‘Let me wear something’.”
