Johannesburg – The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has given an update on vote counting and confirmed that counting has been completed.
Thus far the ruling party, the African National Congress (ANC) seems to be taking the lead nationally, with the Democratic Alliance (DA) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) lagging behind.
Out of a total of 213 councils, there are currently 36 that are hung.
The IEC is expected to brief the media on their stance on the results as they continue to come in.
