Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has made a huge revelation that he wants to play for 10 more years before considering retirement.
Khune is the longest-serving member in the current Chiefs squad having been part of the first team since 2004.
While he hasn’t been getting as much game time as he used to, Khune feels he still has a lot to offer on the pitch.
At 34, he feels he can still play until he’s at least 44 years old, and his role model in that regard is none other than Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon.
“I’ll retire when I’m older than Buffon. To be quite honest, I’m making a good investment in myself, even investing in the gym at home,” said Khune
“I do a lot of extra at my workplace, and even when I get home, I’m motivated to do extra to be in good shape because obviously, my body is my investment.
“When I invest in my body, it can take me to 40+, so that’s what I’m praying for. It’s in my hands. I have to work hard to achieve that,” added Khune.
