JOHANNESBURG- The Lions have been told one of their top performers, flanker Jaco Kriel will go under the knife again, as this operation is in close proximity to his shoulder injury in September last year.
Kriel now faces another six months out of action.
Lions said in a statement on Wednesday confirmed that the flanker will go into surgery this week.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances the operation that Jaco Kriel underwent on his shoulder was unsuccessful and needs to be repeated on Thursday, March 8,” the statement read.
“The Lions Rugby Company will communicate further information as it becomes available without compromising the player’s privacy.
