John Cena Sued by Ford

Ford is suing WWE star John Cena after he sold a $500 000 2017 Ford GT. The 16 times world champion had reportedly signed an agreement upon receiving the car that he wouldn’t sell it for at least two years.

The representatives of Ford stated that Cena “unfairly made a large profit from the unauthorized resale flip of the vehicle”. The company is also claiming losses connected to “brand value, ambassador activity and customer goodwill.”

John Cena is an automobile enthusiast and has a vlog, a YouTube page dedicated to his review of cars and anything related, called Auto Geek. Cena got behind the wheel of his 2017 Ford GT during an episode posted on October 31. The video can be easily accessed on the Auto Geek YouTube page.

Ford apparently made a huge deal out of the first ownership of this new vehicle and made sure to only manufacture 500 cars. They sorted thousands of applications before determining who would have the first opportunity to buy the 2017 GT.

Cena made the cut, amongst Houston Astros ace Justin Verlander, NASCAR driver Joey Logano and former talk show host Jay Leno.

Cena did not deny selling the car and said that he did so because of financial reasons. More will be reported about the commence of the case.
