JOHANNESBURG- For the first time in their history Kazier Chiefs will not be hosting their annual club awards this year after what they said was a season and performance that did not meet their standards.
Chiefs have now gone three seasons without a domestic trophy and fired coach Steve Komphela after the disastrous semi-final against Free State Stars, where they lost 2-1 and after the final whistling fans looted the stadium and crowd violence after the loss.
Chiefs finished the season in third place and have secured a place in the CAF Confederations Cup for next season.
Update: We will not be hosting our traditional annual Players' Awards at the end of this season. It will be the first time in our history that we will not be having the event.
