
LONDON- England coach Gareth Southgate and the Football Association (FA) has named striker Harry Kane as England captain for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The announcement was made on their Twitter page.
Kane, has scored 12 goals for England in 23 appearances and is the first captained the side for a World Cup qualifier against Scotland in 2017.
England’s World Cup group consists of Tunisia, Panama, and Belgium. They will face Tunisia first on the 18th of June.
