KARABO MOKOENA MURDER TRIAL SET TO BEGIN

JOHANNESBURG-  The much awaited start of the trial of Sandile Mantsoe, who is allegedly killed his girlfriend Karabo Mokoena. The trial is set to begin Monday.

Mantsoe last appearance in court was in South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg, in September last year.

Both families have constantly made an appearance in the pack court room.

Mantsoe has been charged with premeditated murder of Karabo Mokoena, who was killed on the 28 of April 2017.

He has also been reportedly charged with intention to cause to grievous bodily harm, after allegedly assaulting Mokoena in 28 March 2017.

Mokoena body was found burnt to death in an open veld in Lyndhurst, Johannesburg.

The reports were circulated by the media and from social media that her friends and family were searching for her after she went missing.

The family and friends did search for her at Mantsoe Sandton apartment but he told them he had not seen her since their broke up in early April.

Mantsoe was married with three son’s when he was in a relationship with Mokoena, reportedly since October 2016. His marriage was supposedly estranged at that time.

Mantsoe and Mokoena relationship was tumultuous, as Mokoena had laid an assault charge against him, he then laid a counter charge against her.

Mantose has denied killing her but during the bail hearing he admitted he did dispose her body.

CCTV footage from Mantsoe’s apartment allegedly shows they had been together on the night Mokoena went missing.
