Kaizer Chiefs winger Keagan Dolly is not in a hurry to be at the top, and this is because he understands he hadn’t been playing for a while.
Dolly joined Chiefs after months of being inactive, and Stuart Baxter cautioned that it might take some time for the left-winger to hit the ground running at the club.
However, Dolly showed glimpses of what he’s able to do when Chiefs beat Baroka 2-1 in the league last week.
“I’m taking it each step at a time. I’m not in a hurry to be at the top. It’s a process for me and that goes for the team as well,” Dolly told the Chiefs website.
“We are focused on what we set out to achieve throughout the season. It’s only the second game.
“There are a lot of positives we can take from this game [Baroka], and also a lot we need to work on. With each game, we will just get better,” he said.
Dolly said all he wants from now on is to grow and help Chiefs achieve their goals for the season while also working on his match fitness.
“For me, individually, it’s just to keep on growing and contribute to the team’s success. That is my aim, just to help where I can, and to keep getting better, getting more match fit and gaining match sharpness. In time, that will come,” said Dolly.
