JOHANNESBURG- Kwaito star and convicted rapist Siph ‘Brickz’ Ndlovu has been granted R80, 00 bail, his family has maintained he is innocent and his brother Grey Mafumbu speaking to eNCA reporters that his brother will return to working on his music.
Brickz was found guilty of raping a relative and was sentenced to 15 years in prison by Magistrate John Baloyi last year.
Baloyi granted his application to appeal his conviction and as a result was granted bail.
His bail condition are that he will have to report to the Jabulani Police Station twice a week and must not be seen in near an airport or travelling outside Johannesburg.
In March he told the court the “truth will come out”,
He said, “I have made an oath to myself that I will bring myself to this court to make sure that this matter comes to an end, so that it also brings me closure. I don’t see how it will be so easy for me to just decide to abscond when I’m getting much closer to the truth.”
He added he has been taking courses in prison, he said, “I’ve taken each and every course that has come way in prison in a mission to better myself.”
He has maintained his innocence.
