Level 4 lockdown regulations confirmed

Johannesburg –The National Command Council, tasked with evaluating the Disaster Management Act, held a briefing to clarify the details of the Level 4 lockdown.

The briefing was hosted by Minister of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs, where she addressed the nation on the details of the Level 4 lockdown, as South Africans endure the final day of Level 5 lockdown today.

The minister announced sectors that would be returning to work. The NCC also noted some personal freedoms, including exercise ‘in adherence to social distancing directives’ between 06:00 and 09:00, would be allowed.

However, South African smokers were dealt a blow when Dlamini-Zuma announced that sale of tobacco products would still remain, despite President Ramaphosa announcing that it would be allowed at Level 4.
