Johannesburg – Lindo Sobenzo has landed a role on Mzansi Magic’s Lockdown as Maki Magwaza.
Linda is happy with the new role. She loves the fact that it is challenging her and it is very different from all the roles she has played in the past. She also went on to say that she always played someone’s mother.
We all know her for her role in Greed and Desire as Sharon Dlamini, Tselane and Gabisile’s mother. Her role on Isibaya as Lillian Beauty Ngwenya’s mother.
“I enjoy the fact that Maki’s character challenges me and always keeps me on my toes. The role also reminds me of my late father who used to be a gangster who would often find himself on the wrong side of the law,” says Linda
When she was asked if there are similarities between Linda and Maki this is what she had to say, “Not at all. Linda is a very sweet person who is Christian and very bubbly while Maki is a very angry person who is passionate about avenging her enemies.”
Because her role is challenging she decided to do her research so that she can connect with her role.
