JOHANNESBURG- It was a try fest at Emirates Airline Park, Johannesburg, in Saturday’s their Super Rugby clash.

Lions outshined the Jaguares by scoring seven tries in a solid 47-27 victory.

Jaguares started like a house on fire, by scoring the first 10 points of the game and defending their lead on top form. Although their discipline let them down as the Lions comeback and by the end of the first half, the Lions led by 19-10.

The second half was a different story as the Lions became too good for the Argentina side, as Rohan Janse van Rensburg powered his way through under the posts, as the hosts continued their dominance in the 64 minute.

A commendable fightback by the Jaguares in the 76th minute, Delguy scored his second try after he chased down Landajo’s clever kick into space on the right, getting to the ball first, giving the side a bit of hope.

But the game was all but won when Lions captain Warren Whiteley finished it off in the dying moments of the game after Elton Jantjies passed the ball, after he evaded two Jaguares defenders.
