JOHANNESBURG – EFF leader Julius Malema said on Thursday that the ANC died a long time ago. The party’s elective conference in December will just a “tombstone” unveiling ceremony.
“That thing is not a funeral of the ANC, it is the unveiling of the ANC[‘s tombstone] because it died a long time ago,” said Malema.
Malema said all these things where there was a discussion regarding the ANC’s upcoming elective conference at the Sandton Convention Centre at the Daily Maverick’s The Gathering.
Malema also went to say, “The conference will not be a watershed moment because this is the continuation of the rot that began in Polokwane. I don’t know what the excitement is about… The watershed moment for the country is 2019, when the country has an opportunity to choose different leadership.”
In 2016 Malema said voters are were expected to choose between “the two devils”. According to him the two devils are ANC and DA.
“Why is the voter so loyal to the ANC? What is it that the voter sees in ANC that we do not see?” Malema questioned.
He then urged the voters to continue and respect the power of their votes. He also accused the ANC saying they do not listen to voters when it came on their opinion on who they want to lead.
