CAPE TOWN- Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has told supporters that they will not stop until Athol Trollip is removed as Nelson Mandela Bay mayor.
Speaking at a rally in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth on Wednesday evening, ahead of Thursday’s motion of no confidence debate.
The EFF leader tackled a wide variety of issues, including perceptions he hates white people, he said, “We don’t hate white people. I just love black people”.
EFF has tabled the motion of no confidence against Trollip after the Democratic Alliance (DA)’s decided not to support a motion on land expropriation without compensation which was passed in the National Assembly in February.
#Malema: "We don't hate white people. I just love black people. I can't cheat with white people, because I am already in a relationship with black people. When you love your wife, it doesn't meam you hate someone who isn't." #EFFRally #NMB @TeamNews24

#Malema: We never said we are in love with the DA. Why is the SA media forcing us to be in a marriage with the DA? Leave us alone. We are not desperate. We don't need anyone. Actually they need us," he jokes. Crowd laughs. @TeamNews24

He said, “We are not loyal to anyone; we are loyal to the land. Anyone that speaks the land, anyone that holds the land is our friend.”
He added, “Women must own land, men must own land, whites must own land, we must own land. We never said any white man must leave South Africa. We said to them we are going to share according to the demographics of this country.”
