
The leader of the military junta that ousted President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita visited him in hospital where he was being treated, reported news agencies.
According to sources, the military leader Assimi Goita and his delegation said the former leader was free to seek further treatment abroad if need be.
Keita was admitted at the private hospital after a mini-stroke.
The former president is said to be recovering well and was released to go home on Thursday evening.
Keita was detained by the military junta that ousted him on 18 August for 10 days.
