Manana sentenced: 12 months in jail or R100 000 fine [Twitter Reactions]

Johannesburg – Former Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training and member of parliament Mduduzi Manana, has been sentenced to a R100 000 fine or face 12 months imprisonment by the Randburg Magistrate’s Court.

Mduduzi Manana is to undergo anger management program and to complete 500 hours in community service and also pay compensation to the victims within seven days.

Manana had pleaded guilty to assaulting two women at a Johannesburg nightclub in August 2017.
