LONDON- Liverpool forward Sadio Mane despatched 300 club jerseys to supporters in his home village of Bambali in Senegal ahead of the Champions League final on Saturday.
Mane still has family living in the village, which has 2000 inhabitants and is expected to come to a standstill as their hometown boy looks to help the Reds claim a sixth European Cup in Kiev’s Olympic Stadium.

Mane, 26, has ensured that the village supporters have their fan regalia, as Liverpool attempt to defeat 12 times Champions Real Madrid.
Mane told UK reporters, “There are 2,000 in the village. I bought 300 Liverpool jerseys to send to the people in the village, so the fans can wear to watch the final.”
Mane is only expected to return home in Senegal after the World Cup and he said he hoped for continued support from the fans,
“Nobody in the village will work this day (Saturday). I will be going back in the summer after the World Cup and hopefully, I will be showing everyone a medal.”
