Johannesburg – Masks are no longer required when outdoors but they will still be required when at indoor facilities.
President Cyril Ramaphosa made the announcement on changes in regulation during an address to the nation on Tuesday night.
The president also announced that the state of disaster will come to an end after the public has commented on proposed new regulations.
Ramaphosa has also urged the unvaccinated to get the Covid-19 jab.
