Massive fuel price hike for South Africa

Johannesburg – As we near the end of elections, bad news is expected for motorists in South Africa.

The price of fuel is expected to rise significantly on Wednesday. Petrol will go up by R1.21 a litre while diesel will go up by R1.48 a litre.

The price of illuminating paraffin will increase by R1.45 a litre.

The Mineral Resources and Energy Department said the increases result from local and international factors.

The price of Brent Crude oil reached its highest level since October 2018.
