Mduduzi Manana off the hook after domestic worker drops assault charges

JOHANNESBURG- Former deputy Gauteng provincial education minister was in hot water again after his former domestic worker  Christine Wiro, 43, who quit on Sunday after an altercation with Manana, withdrew the assault, intimidation and crimen injuria charges just hours after reporting the matter at Douglasdale police station.

Manana a convicted for assault on a woman, following an incident at popular nightclub in Fourways, has breathed a sigh of relief after she withdrew the charges.

Mathapelo Peters, Guateng Police Spokesperson said, “The victim withdrew the charges on the same evening at Douglasdale Police Station. There’s currently no futher investigation on the matter.”

Wiro accused that she had an altercation with her boss Manana, she had only been working for him for three weeks, she said he accused her verbally abused her and tried to push her down a flight of stairs in his Fourways double-storey home on Sunday, after she opened the gate for the wrong person.
