
Johannesburg – Colleagues, media personalities and ordinary South Africans have reacted with shock and disbelief to the death of Bob Mabena.
Mabena died on Monday at the age of 51 from cardiac arrest.
The veteran has been as an icon and legend in the broadcasting industry, after 31 years in the industry.
He has worked at radio stations such as Metro fm and Kaya fm.
Mostly recently, he worked as the breakfast show host at Power fm, where he was also the station manager. He was also the host of the popular 1990s television music show Studio Mix.
Mabena also had a brief stint recording music in the 1990s with the likes of Thebe Senganga and legendary soccer player, Doctor Khumalo.
