JOHANNESBURG- After winning the Soweto derby on Saturday, Orlando Pirates coach has revealed secret to his team successful, Milutin Sredojevic believes that switching Thembinkosi Lorch and Luvoyo Memela to dual numbers tens was what helped his side beat Kaizer Chiefs 3-1.
Pirates outplayed the Glamour Boys as a superb second half performance by Memela who bagged two goals.
Micho views the tactical changes affected the outcome of the derby.
He said, “We believe that tactically it has been a clash of in the first half, 3-4-1-2, in the second-half we have introduced two number 10s with Memela and Lorch behind Justin Shonga and that we had two of them,” he said.
“Lorch and Memela dropped to the middle so that we had no matter of Molangoane coming inside we had four-versus-four there and this is what brought the game in our favour.
“They were forced to come out, we punished them where we believed (it was) risky, with Rama overlapping from the right side.
“The last two goals we have scored from there and I believe that it is a tightrope, you are either going to heaven or to hell.
“We exactly exposed where we planned to and I am happy that players applied themselves in the best possible way.”
