The South African Weather Service has issued another weather warning for flood-stricken KZN, on Monday, May 30.
Rough seas and gale force winds are expected along the coastal areas of KwaZulu-Natal, which may pose further threat to the already fragile province. Waves exceeding 4m to 6m are predicted, which will navigating the sea extremely difficult.
A Yellow Level 2 warning has been issued, with localised damage to coastal infrastructure expected.
Residents are warned to stay clear of the harbours and ports in the region as well as the piers along the coast.
A further warning for residents in informal settlements who are using fires to keep warm has been issued, as wind speeds can cause fires to spread quickly.
Meanwhile, temperatures in Gauteng are expected to drop from Tuesday, May 31, with a colder week on the cards.
